Description
Part of the Berlin Wall that still exists in the city with the famous painting of the former USSR secretary general, Leonid Brejnev (on the left) and Erick Honeker, the former communist leader of East Germany (on the right), in 1979. The kiss, taken from an actual photo, symbolized the close relationship of the two communist countries at the time. I overlaid the famous statement by Ronald Reagan in 1987 appealing to Mikhail Gorbachev of the USSR to tear down the wall dividing East from West Berlin.
